If you do not want this information to be collected, you should delete your cookies and refrain from further use of the website. Below, we describe what information is collected, its purpose, and which third parties have access to it.

1. Our Relationship with You – We Are the Data Controller

Finansrådgiverne (hereinafter “we” and “us”) provides personalized advice to you, including advice on, as well as the establishment and maintenance of, personal insurance and/or pension agreements, and assistance in the event of claims or pension-related events. This may relate to insurance and pension plans established through your employer, as well as insurance and pension plans you have established yourself.

We are the data controller with respect to this processing of your personal information. In Section 7, you will find detailed information on how to contact us.

2. What Information We Collect – Purpose and Legal Basis

In order to provide you with our advisory services, we will collect information about you. We obtain most of the information we need directly from you, but we may also receive information from other sources, including your employer and your insurance or pension company, as well as—with your specific consent—from your doctor and other healthcare professionals.

The information we are asking you to provide may be such that, without it, we will be unable to offer you advice.

We collect and process your personal information only to the extent permitted by data protection laws.

Depending on the advisory services and assistance we provide to you, we may need to collect and process:

Health Information: As a general rule, we do not need health information about you. Insurance and pension companies will often require health information about you. They will inform you of this separately. We can assist you in providing your health information to pension and insurance companies. In exceptional cases, we may need access to your health information—including any information regarding loss of earning capacity—to provide you with advice on establishing insurance and pension agreements, including in cases where a pension or insurance company has rejected your insurance or pension application based on your health information, as well as in connection with claims where we advise you. In these cases, our processing of your health information will always be based on your consent. The legal basis for the processing is your consent, cf. the General Data Protection Regulation, Article 9(2)(a).

Additional Information: In addition to the information listed above, we will typically need to process the following categories of information about you, among others:

  • Contact information, including name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • Social Security Number
  • Information about your employment, including job title, hire date and length of service, salary and pension contributions, place of work and any assignments, as well as information regarding termination of employment, etc.
  • Information about your insurance and pension plans, including coverage, premium payments, investment choices, beneficiaries, claims history, and current insurance-related personal injury or property damage claims, account statements, etc.,
  • Information about other income, assets, and tax status, as well as information about your marital status and household.

This information is necessary for us to communicate with you and to manage and provide our advisory services to you. The legal basis for the processing is Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

We may also need to process information about you and our agreements in order to fulfill our obligations under the Bookkeeping Act and the Anti-Money Laundering Act. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Finally, the processing of your information may be necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, including if you or others bring claims against us. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) and Article 9(2)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

If we later wish to process your personal information for purposes other than those for which it was originally collected, we will provide you with information about the new purpose—including the legal basis for the processing—prior to proceeding with the processing.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share your personal information with the selected insurance and pension companies in connection with the establishment, modification, administration, and termination of insurance and pension arrangements, as well as in connection with assistance in the event of a claim and other pension- and insurance-related events.

Your personal data may also be transferred to suppliers, business partners, or other third parties who process data on our behalf. When using such data processors, we ensure that a contractual relationship is established, under which the data processor may only process personal data in accordance with our instructions and which requires the data processor to implement adequate organizational and security measures.

We transfer personal data to data processors outside the EU and the EEA only if appropriate safeguards have been specifically put in place to ensure an adequate level of protection, including through the European Commission’s model data transfer agreements.

4. Safety

We have implemented technical and organizational measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally or unlawfully destroyed, lost, or compromised, as well as to prevent it from being disclosed to unauthorized parties, misused, or otherwise processed in violation of data protection laws.

5. How Long We Retain Your Information

Personal information is deleted when there is no longer a legitimate purpose for continuing to retain it.

Under normal circumstances, 3 years after our advisory relationship with you has ended, there will no longer be a legitimate purpose for continuing to retain personal data, but we may decide to retain the data for a longer period if we determine that it is necessary to enable us to establish, assert, or defend ourselves against legal claims.

6. Your Rights

When we process information about you, you have a number of rights under data protection laws. In this section, we will explain what rights you have and how you can exercise them.

  • Right of Access

You have the right to request information from us regarding, among other things, the categories of personal data we hold about you and the purposes for which we process it; the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the data has been or will be disclosed; the source of the data; and so on. You have the right to receive a copy of the personal data we process about you.

You can find more information about your right of access in Article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Right to Correction

You have the right to have inaccurate personal information about yourself corrected by us. If you become aware of any errors in the information we have on file about you, please contact us in writing so that the information can be corrected.

You can find more information about your right to rectification in Article 16 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Right to Erasure

In some cases, you have the right to have all or some of your personal data deleted by us, for example, if you withdraw your consent and we do not have another legal basis for continuing the processing. To the extent that continued processing of your information is necessary—for example, so that we can comply with our legal obligations, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims—we are not required to delete your personal information.

You can find more information about your right to erasure in Article 17 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Right to restrict processing to storage only

In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal information restricted to storage only, for example, if you believe that the information we process about you is incorrect.

You can find more information about your right to restriction of processing in Article 18 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Right to Data Portability

In certain cases, you have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and you have the right—if technically feasible—to have this data transferred to another data controller.

You can find more information about your right to data portability in Article 20 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Right to Object

You have the right at any time to object to our processing of your personal information that we collect and process. If you object to the processing, and provided that the objection is justified, we are no longer authorized to process your personal information unless we can demonstrate legitimate grounds for continuing the processing. You have an unconditional right to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing purposes.

You can find more information about your right to object in Article 21 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

  • Right to Withdraw Consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw your consent, please be aware that in certain cases we will no longer be able to provide you with the necessary advice. In such cases, you will be notified accordingly.

In some cases, we may continue to process your personal data even if you withdraw your consent. This will be the case if there is a legal basis for the processing other than consent.

If you wish to withdraw your consent, you can contact us at kontakt@fr.dk
